It's all natural, made from a mix of finely ground igneous and metamorphic rocks and water, and thus is conveniently non-toxic. It's immediately soft and pliable to the touch - no frustrating squeezing and warming, trying to make that hard lump of clay soft and workable. Magic Mud is a subtle, earthy tan color that won't stain hands and clothes, and the residue left on hands from working with the clay washes off easily with water or baby wipes. To top it off, it will air-dry to a nice, hard finish, or it can be fired, for an extra-durable state. When dry, it can be painted with a variety of paint types. I can't tell you that it won't dry out if you leave the whole lump sitting...but it is easily reconstituted by adding back whatever water evaporated out.
